This page describes how the app Kuchařka: Recepty a Suroviny (Cookbook: Recipes and Ingredients) handles your data.

1. Data stored on your device
The app stores locally on your device:

None of this data is sent to any server.
2. iCloud synchronization
If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, the app optionally syncs:
- Favorite articles and categories
- Meal plans and saved meal plan templates
- Shopping lists and saved list templates
- Cooked recipes and ratings
- Last 50 history items
Synchronization uses Apple iCloud Key-Value Store service. The operator has no access to this data. It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
3. Server communication
The app communicates only with www.wikifood.cz for:
- Loading content — recipes, ingredients, categories, images (public content)
- Search — your search queries
- Ratings — submitting star ratings (without user identification)
Communication includes a standard HTTP User-Agent header (e.g., "WikiFoodApp/1.0 (iOS)"). No device identifiers or tracking parameters are sent.
4. Voluntarily provided data
The app includes optional forms (sent only if you submit them):

Email is used solely for responding to your submission, not for marketing.
5. What the app does NOT collect
- ❌ No analytics tools (Firebase, Google Analytics, etc.)
- ❌ Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- ❌ Device identifiers
- ❌ IP addresses
- ❌ Advertisements or ad SDKs
- ❌ Third-party tracking SDKs
- ❌ Registration or login
6. App permissions
The app may request:
- Photos — only when selecting images for forms
- Notifications — only for cooking timer alerts (no marketing)
The app does not require access to camera, microphone, location, contacts, or calendar.
7. Security
- All server communication via encrypted HTTPS connection
- Local data protected by device OS security
- iCloud data protected by Apple encryption
8. Data retention

9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Delete local data — by uninstalling the app or clearing data in device settings
- Delete iCloud data — in iCloud settings on your device
- Delete history — directly in the app (Clear History button)
- Clear cache — in app settings
- Request deletion of form data — contact us at the email below
10. Content license
Content (recipes, articles) comes from WikiFood.cz and is available under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
11. Policy changes
Any changes to this policy will be communicated by updating this page. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
