Sweet Pastries include sweet bakery and patisserie products—kolaches, filled buns, vánočka (Czech Christmas bread), mazanec (Czech Easter bread), strudels, sweet crescent rolls, croissants, doughnuts, turnovers, and more. They are made using yeasted dough, puff pastry, creamed batter, sponge batter, or quark dough, with ingredients such as sugar, butter, and eggs and fillings such as fruit butter, quark, poppy seeds, nuts, or fruit. In Czechia, sweet pastries are served with Sunday lunch and at festive meals.
